Tariq Chauhan is the Co-Founder and Group CEO of EFS Facilities Services. As CEO, Tariq has grown EFS from a $100-million-company to a billion-dollar ($1.75 billion in contracts) organization spanning 23 countries and 25,000 employees. Today, EFS is considered a mega powerhouse within the global FM industry. For his efforts, Tariq is a regular fixture on several Forbes lists including its Top Indian Leaders, Middle East’s Top 100 Sustainability Leaders and Top 100 CEOs and Executives in the Middle East. One notable area where Tariq has excelled is in implementing a “People First Approach” within the realm of Human Resources that has garnered him numerous accolades, including the prestigious People First Leader of the Year in GCC Government HR Awards in 2023.

Prior to EFS, Tariq spent decades working within, leading, acquiring, and transforming businesses across the world. Tariq developed a reputation for finding the potential within small-to-medium enterprises across various fields including IT, transaction services, and structured and trade finance services.

Owing to his repeated successes, Tariq is an in-demand thought leader. As a columnist and author, Tariq has created a deep following of readers who turn to him for his facilities management insights as well as his takes on leadership, community, diversity and inclusion, and a host of other topics. Tariq is a sought-after speaker addressing industry veterans, entrepreneurs, and business schools each year.

Tariq earned his BA in Economics from AMU and is an alumnus of Harvard Business School.  Currently residing in Dubai with his family, his wife and two daughters, he considers family an integral part of his resilient journey. Tariq and his spouse, Lovita Tariq, have been married for over 33 years. Lovita is a highly successful entrepreneur in the Early Education sector, with a remarkable career spanning three decades in UAE. They are proud parents of two accomplished daughters, Nyla Khan, who currently works with the Federal Authority of Early Education, Abu Dhabi in an Advisory role leading Early Education initiatives. His younger daughter, Nada Khan, holds a Senior Strategy position at Boston Consulting Group, a top consulting firm in the US.
