For any organisation serious about sustainability, managing waste should never be the end goal. Rather, waste should be reimagined as a resource.
I recently facilitated a strategic workshop along with our Waste Management & Recycling division to challenge conventional thinking and identify new ways to transform waste into valuable products, services, and sustainable business solutions.
Across our operations, we’re already making progress. From our moringa plantation project and recycling used garbage bags to converting organic waste into mulch and fertilizer and processing food waste, these are practical steps toward embedding circulareconomy thinking into everything EFS does.
For us, circularity is a critical part of our ESG commitment and the long-term value we create for clients and communities. The goal is to embed circular thinking into the way we design, operate, and innovate, rather than treating it as an afterthought.
There’s more work to do. But the thinking is shifting, and that’s where change starts.
